Head of the United Nations launches a study of nuclear accident (AP)

UNITED NATIONS - organization of the United Nations will undertake a study of the system on the consequences of the accident at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear - to Japan, the Secretary General Ban Ki moon, said Friday.

VA launches Health Information Exchange pilot

As the Department of Veterans Affairs continues to build its health information technology infrastructure to serve the population veteran, the Ministry said that it starts a project pilot in the Richmond area to improve the provision of information on the health of veterans.

The driver, announced last week, is to Richmond VA Medical Center and MedVirginia (MedVA), a healthcare it group serving central Virginia which was created in 2000 by a consortium of Virginia health care providers. The two organizations will partner to create a comprehensive health information network for the exchange of health information using health virtual electronic lifetime record (VLER) for VA.

"We aspire to be the site of reference, so that the up-to-date data on clinical associations between mutations and therapeutic results will be easy to find," said Pao. PAO also noted that widespread adoption of a genetically informed occur approach, it will be important that persons making clinical decisions, as well as patients, the information that they need at their fingertips. "We hope that this website will provide information to date to help people make informed treatment decisions," he said.
