Korea South completely Unveils eco-construction (Reuters)

Seoul (Reuters Life!) - Korea in the South opened what he says is the ultimate eco-business center, a building that emits zero carbon and uses only renewable energy sources, in a project to highlight the commitment of the Government to reduce greenhouse gases.

The 2,500 square metres building which houses a climate change research center in Incheon, near the capital Seoul was opened the month last by the Ministry of the environment at a cost of approximately $ 8 million.

National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) Ministry said he hoped that the building will reduce CO2 emissions by 100 tonnes per year, or the amount of carbon released of a cc car approximately 200,000 km 2000. He hopes to save about $100,000 in energy.

Lee jae - Bum, an environmental researcher deny, said buildings are responsible for about 25% of gas emissions greenhouse in southern Korea.

"Unless cut us it, it will be difficult to achieve our goal (of emissions reduction.)" "And that is why the project of construction of this type of structure is very important in reducing emissions," he told Reuters.

Green growth is a major pillar of the policy of the administration of President Lee Myung-bak as objectives of fourth largest economy in Asia to reduce gas emissions greenhouse of 30% from projected 2020 levels.

DENY it, which says that the construction is carbon world's zero building for companies, uses 66 types technologies, including solar and geothermal energy techniques of energy conservation.

"We believe that this zero carbon building play a symbolic role for green growth policy to raise public awareness of reduction of gas emissions of greenhouse and the low carbon content of the country," deny said in a brochure.
