Quick fix: unbeatable right now is Obama? (The Newsroom)

The death of Osama bin Laden will have an impact on the presidential election of 2012?

The death of Osama bin Laden is a memorable episode in American history that will no doubt be reshaping the political dialogue for the weeks and months to come.

While it is difficult to make inflexible predictions on what all this means for our policy, there are a few ways in which the impact will be felt almost immediately.

First of all, there will be a period of time to put aside partisanship, similar to what happened after the terrorist attack September 11, 2001, which introduced the world to bin Laden.

The statements of support by Republican candidates in an impromptu rally outside the White House yesterday evening, it is clear that at least for the time being, the policy is pending. It is of course, how long it will last.

Second, President Obama will probably experience a resurgence of significant popularity following the new.

While the killing of Osama has taken a decade and involved three Presidents and thousands of people, it is Obama who gave the order that eventually led to the death of the terrorist. It is Obama which broke the news last night. And it will be Obama who benefits more from a sense that he did what he said, that he would.

This is an important time in the Presidency of Obama - perhaps more great moment. Celebrations and renewed patriotism, it is easy to assume that the death of Osama bin Laden will be an important issue in 2012. But history has shown that an economy struggling trumps anything else in electoral politics.

At the end of the day, the election of 2012 will always be on the economy and how people feel about their financial future.

But, it is a major victory for President Obama who will buy him time and good will of the American people.
