NEW YORK (Reuters) - Office of the Governor of Pennsylvania asked the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) filed Thursday for a waiver to sell gasoline to winter-grade up to 31 May in a letter.
The State said that a temporary derogation is necessary to limit summer-grade fuel supply disruptions in the Pittsburgh region.
Seasonal change from winter to summer fuel stocks, disturbances on the Buckeye pipeline and some refinery, of early failures in mid-March, in Pennsylvania and New Jersey has caused the shortage of supply in various terminals in southwestern Pennsylvania.
